Sara Vanderbeek Art Advisory is an art consulting firm founded in 2009 that provides bespoke research, sourcing, selection and installation services to build public and private art collections.

In Sara Vanderbeek’s private art consulting practice, she has commissioned and procured the work of over 500 Texas-based artists representing a wide range of backgrounds, disciplines, and perspectives to form notable regional private and public art collections, facilitating the distribution of over $8 million dollars to Texas artists.

University Health Public Art Collection
(2010–2015)
Co–Founder and Curator of Salud-Arte, a public art program for University Health in San Antonio with Allison Hays Lane, Director of Olana Group. Placed over 1500 pieces of art, created by over 350 artists. The ever-growing collection focuses on regional and emerging artists, and also includes national and internationally recognized artists.
TMRS Public
Art Collection
(2021–2025)
Curator of the public art collection for the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) headquarters, designed by Perkins&Will and located at The Grove in Austin, Texas. The collection was thoughtfully developed to complement the building’s architectural vision while honoring the civic mission of TMRS, with a focus on Texas-based artists and works that reflect themes of stewardship, community, and place.
