East-Austin Residence
Sara Vanderbeek - Curator

This East Austin private resicence features works by celebrated Austin-based artists Jules Buck Jones and Katy Horan, whose practices explore mythology, ecology, and feminine narratives through richly detailed visual languages. Their pieces were thoughtfully placed to create moments of intimacy and energy throughout the space, forging a dialogue between contemporary art and domestic life.
Selected Projects
University Health Collection
(2010–2015)
Co–Curator and Budget Manager for a $7.2M public art program for University Health in San Antonio, in collaboration with Allison Hays Lane, Director of the Olana Group. Oversaw the acquisition and placement of more than 1,500 artworks by over 350 artists. The collection emphasizes regional and emerging voices while also including nationally and internationally recognized artists, reflecting the broad cultural and community identities served by the health system.
